Power permeates all facets of our personal and professional lives. Be it corporate, educational institutes, politics, or even marriages. It is the sense of superiority that acts as the fuel in the engine of life. Money is the ultimate aid. Money aids power which in return brings more money. Not to forget the power of money.
Power has a lot of dynamics that can influence people. Not always is the use of this power for the betterment of people and society. This act becomes unnecessarily violent when people act out of vengeance and the thought that they will get away with anything because of money and power.
More often than not, politicians are the wrongful owners of both. There are numerous cases in the judicial books of India where there is mention of the heinous crimes committed by such politicians and their associates.
The thing about such people is the lack of conscience. The web defines conscience as a person's moral sense of right and wrong, viewed as acting as a guide to one's behavior.
Clearly, some people are blinded by money and power to an extent of no return, where everything they do seems justified. Innocent poor beings fall down the pit of death in case they try to oppose or expose such blots of the country. How long ago was it when you read a new news article about policemen using their power wrongfully?
One can only hope to see a day when power is used just for the advancement of society. But we all know that is highly unlikely. A reform is needed. A societal reform. A reform that exists only as theory.
